Terms of use
What this app is
Seafarer Docs is a private notebook for your maritime certificates and your sea service record. It is a reminder and a log, not an official document. Nothing it shows, counts or prints replaces your discharge book, your STCW certificates or any document issued by a flag state, a maritime administration, a shipping company or a port authority.
Your certificates stay your responsibility
Dates, sea time and statistics are only as accurate as what you type in. Reminders can be late, missed or blocked by the phone – by power saving, a flat battery, a system update or notifications switched off. Keep checking your certificates yourself, as you did before this app. To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for any loss, including a lost job or contract, caused by a missed reminder or by relying on the app's figures. Treat the app as a helpful second pair of eyes, never as proof.
Help numbers and addresses
The numbers and addresses in “I need help!” come from public lists and may be wrong or out of date. They are offered in good faith, without any guarantee. Calls abroad can be expensive; the cost is yours and your operator's. In a real emergency, call the local emergency number first.
Beta software
This is a beta version, shared for testing and provided “as is”, without any warranty. It may contain mistakes, count wrongly or lose data. Make backups regularly and keep your paper originals. The app's name, graphics and code belong to the developer.
Adverts and payment
The app is free and shows adverts. In this beta the “Remove ads” switch is only a test switch, not a purchase: no payment takes place and nothing is charged to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Polish law. This does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
Translations
These terms and the privacy policy are available in several languages. If a translation differs from the English text, the English text applies.
Changes
These terms may change as the app develops. The version and date at the top of this screen show which text is in force. Using the app after a change means you accept the new text.
